Dear International students:

According to the school arrangements, the summer break starts from July 13 to September 3, 2023. Please note that autumn semester starts from:

Undergraduate, Master, PhD programs: September 4, 2023 to January 11, 2024

Chinese language program: September 11, 2023 to January 11, 2024

The International Students should come back on time after vacation and register at your department, Chinese Language students and Exchange students should register at International Student Section, Room 140/168 (Zhanlan Road campus) or Room 131(Building A on Shahe Campus).

You should confirm the followings: 1. Registration of student card; 2. Photocopy Registration Form of Temporary Residence and confirm your telephone number; 3. Check passport information.

Note that all classes will resume offline in the fall semester of 2023, please arrange your traveling to China in advance. The dormitory will be open for check-in from 3rd Sep. (Sunday). Students who have applied to postpone their graduate will automatically become self-financed students, and are only permitted to come to the campus on the premise of paying up the tuition fee. Those who refuse to pay the tuition fee will not be allowed to apply for student visa.

To ensure a happy holiday, please pay attention to the followings:

I. All International students in China should fill in the "Summer Vacation Registration for International Students at CFAU" to ensure that we can provide you with necessary emergency help during the holiday.

II. Students traveling within China must abide by Chinese laws and regulations. In particular, do not engage in any physical violence or conflict; do not damage public facilities; do not get involved in alcohol abuse, gambling, or drug abuse; and do not engage in any illegal activities. Students staying on campus should also abide by the rules of CFAU, especially the regulations of International Exchange Center.

III. Students traveling away from Beijing should take good care of their personal safety and possessions, so as to avoid theft and fraud. In case of any emergency, contact tour guides or local police station immediately for help. (Ambulance: 120 & 999, Police: 110) When necessary, contact the staff members at CFAU.

IV. If you feel unwell, please report to the department, seek medical care, and stay home according to the doctor’s advice. When it is necessary, contact the staff members at CFAU. All the students must report to their mentor about their location and health condition daily.

V.  Pay high attention to personal protection and personal hygiene. Wash your hands frequently, eat carefully, etc. Avoid gatherings or staying for a long time in a densely populated place. Maintain a good mentality and keep daily exercise.

VI. Please return on time after the break.
